I saw JFA play last night!
I've been a huge fan since I discovered them in the pages of Thrasher Magazine in the 80s. And when I made my first visit to the Thrasher offices in October of 1993 I got to meet JFA's frontman, Brian Brannon, who was working there at the time.
They are legends in my mind. They always put on a super high energy show. And last night they came through just like the old days. I was psyched! I also caught Psychology of Genocide, Oppressed Logic and Hightower. Great show! Hope you had as much fun as I did last night.

Ever since I visited my first skateboard shop (in San Diego in 1983) I've wanted one of these Sims Christian Hosoi pro models. The graphics were designed by Bernie Tostenson, who also designed and printed all the boards for Brand-X, another favorite brand when I was a teenager. I wanted one of those "Possessed to Skate" decks since they were released in 1985, but I didn't think it would fly too well with my Catholic mom. But now that I'm 40 years old, I don't think she'll mind if I ride for Satan. My homie at Scumco & Sons hooked me up with the "Skee-Skate". Can't wait to try it out next time I hit the skatepark. And I had to get another Alva Leopard because my last one got taken out by a bus. Skateboards come and go...
