We Love LA...We Love It

I really haven't had that much fun in LA in a long time, the R8 event was long over due. Great to see some of my best friends made it out and always lovely meeting new folks. Tell your friends, to get with my friends and we can be friends. Shit we can do this every weekend. Aiight?

My two favorite guys.

My fashion inspiration of the weekend.

Love you sir.

Trying to hang with the cool kids. So close Lance, so close.

Big Joey was there. He was nice enough to take a photo of me and spilled his entire beer. Not a good look, Joey.

Group shot with the gorgeous Talisa Monet. Check out her blog www.talisamonet.blogspot.com.

Ciao for now.

Lit It Up

Almost 2 years ago to the day my homie Eric came over to my little apartment to hook up some vinyl panels for a light box I was having built. How it's made is a good show.

Welcome!

By the time you are reading this, you probably realized you're on the brand new R8 website! I'm STOKED. I've been working with the techs day and night getting this all ready. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to really blog it up today, but don't let that stop you from checking out the entire site thoroughly. If there is anything that looks broken or not working for you, please email me immediately so we can fix it.

I'll do another blog post explaining each section and the many new features of the website later. Until then, Summer '10 is selling in the store and you can still visit the old site to buy the R8LA capsule collection, the REBEL8 x Dickies collboration, and what is left from our Spring '10 Collection. Please note: we cannot combine orders from this new site and the old one. You will need to pay separate shipping charges as these orders will not ship together. Also note that we will be migrating the products over from the old site to this one, but it will take some time.

Introduce Yourself Right On!

The time has finally come, the ladies will be represented on R8! Lady 8ers will be a blog geared towards reaching out to the female members of the REBEL8 family. I've been a part of R8 for 6.5 years and have seen the progression on the mens' side but the ladies are always second fiddle. Let's grab our ovaries and unite to help grow this to some next level shit. Big things are gonna happen and we need to rally up to make it. Lady 8ers are a force to be reckoned with. O let's do it!

Still Getting Up!

I've been writing the name "Giant" for 21 years now and it's still fun.  On Saturday July 17th I hooked up with Buter and Kebs to repaint a wall we hooked up last year.  Joshy took this photo of me blasting right over the old piece with my trusty Ironlaks and Montanas.

This is what my piece looks like finished.  I added the character at the last minute.  Pizza!

I finished around 6:30pm after about 5 hours of painting.  I went back the next day and took these flics of the other finished pieces.  Buter's came out out great.

And my man Kebs knows what real graffiti writing looks like.  This shit is fresh!

I hope you'll take some time to dig around on the HiFiArt section of this new site.  I'm really stoked to have such an integral resource for SF graf history on the site now.  Super rad.

See you on the streets...

Portland Trip

This past weekend I took a trip up to Portland, OR to go hang with my good friend Jason Kundell. I got tattooed and ate a lot of burgers. Jason moved up there from SF not too long ago and opened up a new shop called Art Work Rebels. The shop is located at 510A NW 23rd Ave. I gotta say it’s hands down the nicest tattoo shop I’ve ever stepped foot in. If you're ever in Portland you gotta check this place out! Good job Jason!
