Ladies. I told you a couple months back that I promised to do more for you. This is only the beginning. Give me time to show you how special you are to REBEL8.
These latest offerings are now affordably available in our online shop. Hope you like!
Ran into my friend John Trippe from Fecal Face Gallery last night. Can you see how ripped he was?
We've been friends since he started the Fecal back 2000. I'm really proud of him for keeping the project alive through some really tough circumstances over the last 10 years. Congratulations, homie!
The gallery's new home is at 2277 Mission Street, here in lovely San Francisco. Stop by and check out the art. John always puts on a great show.
Been bumping the Metalheadz podcasts in the studio today, particularly #22 and #30. Smoking some Maui Wowie rolled with Jack Herer. And drawing, drawing, drawing.
If you're in SF on the 21st, stop by Seventh Son Tattoo for this show. I guarantee it'll be a banger.
Super stoked to see the REBEL8 x Shadow Conspiracy "Fuck You" BMX showing at Agenda Show in Long Beach. It's hand-painted and truly one-of-a-kind. Click here for all the details and photos. Hope you like it!
The change to a new year always gets me nostalgic. I turned 40 years old in August of last year. Four decades. In some ways it feels like a long time, and in other ways it feels like I'm not even halfway to the grave yet. We'll see. In any case, I started digging through some old photos and found some I thought I'd share.
This first one is from 1972. Cold chillin' in the sandbox. That was my spot.
This one is from 1982. Doing my homework. I was a straight A student.
And one from 1992. Painting graffiti characters under bridges in Albuquerque. Anybody remember a rap group called The Afros? I loved 'em.
And here's Joshy and I in 2002 after we saw his girl Vitti (Lady 8er) in a live play of the movie "Re-Animator". We been homies for a minute.
Now it's 2012. Wow. And I can honestly say that right now, I've never had it better. I have the best job I've ever had, working with the coolest people, in my favorite city in the world. I couldn't ask for anything more, well, maybe a new girlfriend. But that's it really.
HUGE thanks to all of you REBEL8ers out there. Without your support, we couldn't have survived the last 8 years. Thank you so much. I'll continue to do my best to bust ass on the drawings to show my appreciation. I gotta keep you laced in the dopeness.
Swung by the Texas Roadhouse. I must say this is one of the coolest walls ever. I love taxidermy. I love Bud Light. And although I'm a Niners fan, the Raiders by far have the best logo and colors in the NFL. One nation. One beer. God bless.
And after the many pints of BL, the ribs, the pulled pork, the biscuits, the baked beans, the chili, and the house salad drenched in ranch, I walked on water.
