Skateboards, Belts, Olympics, SALE!

Happy Monday! There are some new items available in our online store. First up are the new skateboards. In continuing with our R8SC (REBEL8 Skate Core) and REBEL8 Skateboards releases, we present a new zinger shape and a very rideable simple logo deck. Second up are the Standard Issue leather belts releasing for Fall '12. I think it'll be the last belt you ever own. Well worth every dollar. Trust. And lastly, the Olympics jersey, and tanks. I hope you like our vintage-inspired 80s Olympic theme. I've been rockin' this tank daily!

Also, via our REBEL8ers Newsletter, this is what I wrote a few days ago:

"Over the years our warehouse has seemingly gotten much smaller. With more REBEL8 workers, and a lot more product making it's way in and then back out to you, I can honestly say we are officially out of room. I can't get our next season in until I clear out space. Seriously. I apologize for no fancy graphics or promo fliers or anything like that. All I got are the facts and these few words: JULY 20th-27th Online SALE @ http://REBEL8.com. Check the site thoroughly, as it's not just Spring '12 on sale. All seasons before that and most online exclusives are 30-50% OFF! Hit every section before checking out!"

Hope you had a great weekend! Please enjoy the latest releases and some old bangers you can now grab for cheap. I'm off to Colombia. Peace out!

Dithers

I think this video is at least 10 years old. It's before REBEL8. Giant and I were still friends and you can peep the Teamwolf sticker on his bicycle. Teamwolf was my first stab at this clothing thing. Shout out to Upper Playground.

It's crazy for me to peep this video and realize the Mike Giant today is the same fucking dude he was back then. I think that's a fundamental difference between us and a lot of these other companies. We are who we are.  And you know the brand and the people behind it. There is no smoke. No mirrors. Just a few passionate people pushing as hard as we can to make this REBEL8 thing as great as possible. Real recognize real. In us we trust. FTW. PMA. Spread the 8!

Hej Då

Jew.

I told you not to stare at the wallpaper.

Swedish Ramen.

One of my many jams I always eat at least once while I'm in Sweden.

Some photos are best kept blurry.

But I really wish this one wasn't.

Peace out Sweden! Thanks for everything. Jag älskar dig.

Argh

So I broke the family boat yesterday. Sorry. I decided to rent a boat today to keep boat life in full effect. Unfortunately, my rental also broke. So I got the oars out and started paddling.

An hour into it I got exchausted and needed a drink. I hate hot beer. So I tied a few tall boys up...

And then lowered them down to cool off.

A few hours later rescue arrived. The funny thing is, these official rescue dudes owned the boat I rented! Racket.

Back on land I ate a Japp.

Then back to the house to drink a bottle of...

Mezcal.

Crucial.

Sunday in the Mission

Yesterday afternoon I loaded up a box full Montana 64s.

Packed everything on my bike.

And met my friends Excel and Jster at a wall near 15th and Valencia where they were already buffing a wall for us to paint.

Excel was the first to finish his piece.

Then I got mine finished.

As Jster was finishing his piece, Vitti (Lady 8ers), Francisco and Joshy stopped by.

Jster's piece came out great!

Not bad for a bunch of old guys.

LA!

I had a great time in LA. Met with my publisher about a new book we're working on and I had him photograph me in front of the new Dabs and Myla mural in his backyard. Nice!

I also saw some great art at The Getty, Corey Helford Gallery and Known Gallery. I bought some new tunes at Amoeba and some books at Skylight and Family. I also checked out The Velaslavasay Panorama which was really cool.

Now I'm back in cold, foggy San Francisco...
