Dog Walk Mall

A real sad sight.

Fast walking Italians.

Meet me at the mall.

It's going down.

Laugh! It's therapeutic.

Smelly Geyser

Things got a little shitty outside the warehouse.

Frisco Giants

In case you forgot, the Giants won the World Series. And Frisco partied. Here are some flics I snapped during the parade.

Sunset! Frisco locals.

Peep this bike. Gangsta!

I wasn't alone. Lots of people were celebrating.

Like, a lot of people.

I swear every street in SF looked like this.

Saw the tallest girl ever.

Alright, back to helping Dougernaut ship your orders. Have a great day!

Free Shipping

From now until the end of 2010, I'm happy to announce we're offering free shipping on all orders placed in our online store. For our international fam, you'll need to spend at least $200 to get free shipping, but with our weak dollar you should be just fine. No discount code needed, just add things to your stash and select the appropriate shipping method that has a $0.00 next to it. Thanks for your continued support!

Monday

I love getting letters. Way better than email. This one is from "The Recycling Dude" that found some goodies in our trash. Probably never going to find a computer in the trash with internet to see this, huh? Well, maybe when the new iPads drop, you'll come up on an old one and see this blog. Nonetheless, you are very welcome. May the force be with you, dude.

Graffiti.

Giants.

Three up, three down.

Peace in the Middle East.

Ah, Might As Well Jump, JUMP!

House of Air rules! We strapped on our bouncy shoes and headed down there for Miss Lisa Fox's birthday.

Jump Around.

Get it Fina.

High kickin' D.

Pogo.

Happy Birthday Lisa. Love you.

Ciao for now.

Happy Friday!

When it's cold in SF I like to wear soccer socks because they're super comfortable and they're tall enough for a Lurch like myself. I did my laundry this morning and put these two socks together not realizing that they're different colors.

That's how bad my colorblindness is. Weird, huh?

But don't let that keep you from joining me Saturday night at Guerrero Gallery at 2700 19th Street here in lovely San Francisco for a solo show including many works in full-color. I know, crazy. I've been busting my ass the last few months to produce 8 pieces on canvas and 8 collage pieces on wood panels. And I threw in some drawings to round things out. Hope you can join us.

And a heads up for next week: I'm throwing another Skullz Press party at The Hemlock on Thursday night. Then I'm doing a zine release with Mike Kershnar at Heist Gallery next Saturday night. Hope you can join at these events as well! Thanks, REBEL8ERS!

Since You're Gone

I guess it's been raining.

Nice to be back in SF. Catch me at Mike's art show tomorrow night at Guerrero Gallery. I've been working up quite the beard. Come check it out. Happy Friday!

Happy Trails, Until We Meet Again.

Just got back to Tokyo. This is the view from my room.

Finally, a good advert.

J Soul Brothers are big in Japan.

Lunch.

Graffilthy.

Love meeting random people with Giant tattoos or R8 tattoos.

Gonna miss you Heshdawgz.

Bigfoot.

What!?

First Big Mac in 20 years. The special sauce had hints of wasabi. Very nice touch McDonald's.

Next time I'm in Japan, I'm gonna try one of these. With an appetizer of Imodium of course.

Ebi Filet-O. Uh-oh.

One thing you should know about bowling in Japan, unlike in America, you pay per game. There is no hourly rate.

I was actually happy with my score. In Japanese, 132 equals 300.

I'm saying my good byes today. To my new and old Asian friends, take care of yourselves, and each other. I'm crossing that mighty Pacific soon. Frisco bound!

Reflections on Past, Present and Future

I think I'm gonna fly in for this one!

Mike Giant – “Reflections on Past, Present and Future”
2700 19th Street San Francisco, CA 94110
December 11th 7-11pm

Guerrero Gallery is pleased to announce “Reflections on Past, Present and Future” an exhibition featuring works by Mike Giant.  A body of work that’s intended to lead us to reflect on our past and how our past has influenced who we’ve become today, Mike’s presentation of honored and praised iconography prompts us to contemplate how we can continue to evolve. Branching out from his traditional medium of ink and paper, Mike has created collage works and hand paintings on canvas, bringing forth a new body of work that surpasses expectation.

Throughout the years, Mike Giant has proven to be one of the best draftsmen around.  Known for this precision in the realm of drawing, he has utilized this exhibition as a springboard to more diversely express personal thought and emotion. Working with visually journalistic matter, he composes images that bring us back to the times when we were seeking role models and inspirational influences. Through the use of images that personally influence and drive him, these works seemingly present a diary or sorts and provide us with true insight into Mike as a person.
