Dirty Grind
Got back into the SF office all hazy.
Getting through my to-do list and things are starting to clear up.
Even a small step forward is a step in the right direction. Enjoy today.

Here's a photo of the piece I just finished at The Phoenix Hotel here in SF.
I've got lots more walls to paint in the next few weeks so stay tuned.
I just found one of the very first REBEL8 stickers. Back in 2003, black & pink was pretty popular. Yeah, go ahead and laugh, but I know you had those black Sk8-His with pink soles.
So we made this sticker exclusively for our 2nd wholesale account ever, Cheap Thrills. Although it was a consignment deal, when starting a brand you gotta get in where you fit in. We've come a very long way since then, and although we no longer sell to them, I thank Cheap Thrills from the bottom of my heart for taking a chance on me, and a then unknown company called REBEL8.
Spread the 8!
I was digging through my backup hard drive and found this shot of some skateboards I made in the mid 1990s.
The first three decks were produced by Adrenalin Skateboards. First is a logo board, then a Matt Reason model (one of the most complicated graphics I ever made) and a Chris Senn model (one of my all-time favorite graphics). The last four decks were made by Think Skateboards. The Flip-Off Guy is a Wade Speyer model, the "Z" is a Paul Zuanich model, the "Finally Dead" graphic is another Wade Speyer model (released within a week of Jerry Garcia's death) and last one is another Paul Zuanich model that I called "Canninbal Soup".
You're gonna love the decks I'm cooking up for you right now!
Took a ride in Juan's ride the other day.
Saw these pieces of shit.
And I once thought Uggs were the uggliest. SMH.
TGIT!
UPCOMING EVENTS!
February 11 - Please join me this Saturday evening for the release of The Mission Map at 111 Minna here in San Francisco from 6-10pm.
March 1 - Grab some brews with Bigfoot and I for a special snowboard party at FTC, 1632 Haight Street.
March 2 - You can catch me at 2310 Telegraph in downtown Oakland at Bloom Press for First Fridays. I'll be dropping some new poster designs and showing the East Bay some love.
Hope to see you out there!
Back in SF there's something strange in the neighborhood.
My beloved skateboards.
I just learned how to roll-in on vert at the Pacifica Skatepark.
And I took a new prototype shape out for a test drive the other day.
It's a winner! We'll be offering the production decks in a month or two...
Rather than buying 10,000 of each post card and sending them all to you today, here are some photos. I guess you can call them Ecards. Greetings from New York!
Happy Monday!
