Pt. Arena
Point Arena is a small coastal town in Mendocino County, California. So small, its actually considered one of the smallest incorporated cities in the state, with a population of 449. Its main street comprises part of Highway 1. Point Arena is happily associated with a few counterculture groups.
Some years ago I first visited Point Arena with our then Art Director and still friend, Nate Hooper. His family secured over 100-acres many years before that, simultaneously creating "Oz". Oz is quickly considered a special place to anyone who is invited. Thankfully, I've visited on more than one occasion. There, completely off the grid, I found a deep appreciation of nature while trekking the rolling property, living in huts, swimming in rivers, plucking apples off trees, and just spending time being. My biggest takeaway, was that when you own land you can do as little or as much as you want. Meaning, you can keep it the way nature intended or you can build whatever you could imagine. It's ultimately, your choice. Nate's family has consistently made the decision to leave as much of the land how it was before them. And I think that's rad.
With a ballistic nylon shell and a warm cotton flannel interior, the PT. ARENA Jacket will keep you just the way you were meant to; full of life and full of fight. Now available right here for $110.
